Bit random, but does anyone else in here remember an early 90's tv show called the Mary Whitehouse Experience? I must have asked 50 people and only one other person remembers it and it was just SO funny!

I confess to using the "thats YOU that is" phrase far too much, shame nobody ever gets the reference and wonders why i'm snickering away madly to myself...

Yeah it started off on radio, though I missed that. My favourite bit has to be History Today, look that up on youtube for a laugh

I remember telling a Forumite's nine year old 'See that tree over there? That's yew that is'. I don't think he ever understood....

I'd have found that so funny, the in joke AND the fact the kid didn't get it. I'm sadly just desperate for someone to actually GET wtf i'm on about so i don't come across as quite so much of an eejit *grin*

A belated welcome Em K. Don't be so desperate for the unknowing to understand - it can be even funnier. One of my favourite sayings is 'Let me introduce a man whose work has been spread over many fields' - 50% of the time it just floats past...

Thats pretty much the level most of my humour operates on...totally bypasses most people. Not sure whether thats a good thing or not, though I find it funny...
