363/365You don't know me, then....
..not that I do it every day..
Thanks for the feedback about The Swan being a crèche, aren't we a wonderful country when we have a stigma against young mothers however we love our customers as they areI went into today for lunch.
I got outvoted as I wanted to go the Swan but didn't make a fuss when the others preferred to go to The Post House.
(reason given for not going to the Swan....."it's like a creche")
So food very nice, didn't notice the no alcohol notice until we were leaving. ...( who drinks alcohol these days on a weekday lunchtime? No one I know)
But my friends were appalled to be giving business to someone who had declared himself bankrupt.....and leaving lots of other people unpaid while his family are still running the business.
So don't think we will be going back.

Whilst in town this morning I stood behind a man taking a photo of a new poster that has appeared on the railings of the PH. Had a quick read but didn't read it properly as I thought to myself the photo was obviously going to be appearing on the forum (or FB) later - which it hasn't..... so far.
This ?, hopefully business as usual very soon
tbh when i hear people say "i'm not going in there, it's like a creche!" they usually mean it's full of youngsters, so maybe they just meant the swan's increasingly trendy clientèle* weren't quite the cup of tea for carole's group?
Best thing I've read all day!!! Just remind me when she's on maternity with lovely new arrival in our crèche - I'll then remind her of this post, with a very BIG SMILE, isn't life such a rich tapestryIt wasn't me that said it Chris, although I had to smile as the lady that said it was pregnant.
I did ask if she meant the main restaurant and she didn't know as she hadnt been, someone else told her.
Anyway in the end I didn't push it and just went with the flow.
