Yep! We did it too, came 9th (Herd of Cats), good fun all round and timed nicely with my birthday weekend
The app needed a few tweaks, like showing your compass direction, as the map can be a bit hard to decipher now. But overall was a good day around town and made us venture to places we rarely tread. The party shop guys were chatting with I think a grocer from over the road at the door and commented to us that they’d seen a lot of people around that day, much more than usual. Seems like it’d be a good thing for them to let local businesses know about what’s going on so they can prepare for extra traffic…
Good chunk of money for the company too it looks like (£35/team), given they use the same story across multiple towns, if Stafford (a town that would probably be quite under subscribed to this) can grab 87 teams they must make bank for just popping down some map markers for a previously written story.
My brain is going into business mode now and wondering if there’s a gap in the market for a platform that allows anyone to create these “trails” for murder mysteries and other story stuff for their local area…
Definitely doing the March one either way
