Opposite RBS in town was sold at auction 4 months ago, everything taken out and gutted inside just after then part windows boarded up.

anyone know if there is a plan for this?

The wreck formerly known as the Tavern is up for sale by auction, with planning permission granted for cafe/restaurant on ground floor and 5 flats above (granted 2023), Butters John bee have it listed with a guide price of £280,000. As when it was last a pub the licensing conditions required that one complete floor and several rooms on other floors be completely sealed off because they were in a highly dangerous condition, development work might be interesting. Once the Bath Hotel and known in the 1950s as the Bath of Blood because of the fights that took place there.

£280,000 as more of a wreck than I think £195,000 when it was for sale several years ago.
I remember the Bath Hotel having a bad reputation fifty years ago but I never saw any trouble or had a bad pint of M&B Springfield Bitter there. I think it and the Vine were the only pubs in town open before 11am.

It would be interesting to know why the parts of the building need to be sealed off and which parts?

I remember the upstairs pools room and I think their used to be a flat on the 3rd floor too?

I've seen some comments saying the basement/foundations aren't in a good condition because it was flooded for a long period of time.
