To the person/s scattering nails on the footpaths round Oxford Gardens

Stop it. Over the past year, small panel nails have been constantly scattered round the back streets near oxford gardens. Cyclists aren't the only victims, as there is a school on that street, and a lot of buggies and kids playing.

I will assume that, as often happens, someone with a grudge against cyclists, has decided to scatter nails on all the back alleyways. They do not stay there and puncture every passing cyclists tyres on the access roads or street. I even found some in my back garden.

If I catch you doing this, I will not hesitate to report you to the police.

I would suggest that the police should be made aware of this situation anyway, whether you know who is doing it or not.

They been doing it down the old railway tracks too. In the summer there were trails of broken glass across the path as well.

Since buying Slime Bike Tyre Liners, I've had no punctures since I put them on 6 months ago. Before that I had a puncture nearly every other time I've been out and about.

There are odd rusty screws/nails down the back of Corp St / St John's Walk, but I think they've most likely dropped off guttering and sheds over time rather than scattered purposefully.

Wish it was just old nails off guttering, but it is always the same type of brand new nails. I once picked tons up where they were left in the middle of the path. Always the same nails over the previous year. Probably some grumpy get who is annoyed at all the kids riding fast down the hill. Pity as the back roads have lots of kids having lots of fun in relative safety, it is a great area for that!

Magnetic broom.

Just push it along and it collects most iron-based substances.

How bizarre, it must be costing them a fortune in nails! I see some sort of csi investigation/ serious sleuthing happening to find the culprit.....

CSI Oxford Gardens. Hee, that would be awesome.
" Excuse me sir, you will have to accompany me down the station as your large flatscreen tv in your window is depressing the local house prices", and featuring such characters as the old man who is suddenly racist, the paranoid.stoners, and my favorite, cat stealing Student.

You know where she lives, the house with the sad cat pawing fruitlessly at the lounge window.

Mr Ferret do you actually have a ferret? As it would make a very nice sidekick in your drama....
Sadly not, did use to have a trained rat though. I was called ferret I assume due to.my musky odor.

Musky odour? I wont ask....
What did you train your rat to do?
(sorry for thread hijack!)
Trained her to pretend to talk to me, which was unbearably cute, as well as sort of appear on demand (Usual ratty perched on shoulder like a parrot sort of thing, slept in my hood normally).

However I take no responsibility for her skill at running up girls skirts. No, nothing to do with me. Probably still banned from Boots for that one.

Would I possibly have seen you in the Market Square with her on your shoulder - some years ago?..
Can't remember if i ever walked round Stafford with her. That's why I can shop in the Boots in town still. :)
