250,000th poster!
@littleme looking lovely - as usual, but tired, sorry, but you did xx
Enjoy your 2 days off xx
I'm going back to wearing a mask, instead of a visor - then people can't tell what I look like!

I've worked a 2 week straight with no days off, I swear down if I wake up at 5.30am tomorrow (my usual work get up time) there will be hell to pay.... So ready for a day off tomorrow.

I've already got my feet in a cooling gel mask, and a g&t in my hand.....

Took a walk up the coastal path this morning and was pondering on the thought that one minute you're walking along high cliffs made from 250 million year old (give or take a month) lifted sea bed, then you're transported into the 21st Century ...

Then I looked north and saw a huge tsunami about to engulf Lundy Island ... ... my first thought ? ... can I get to the pub in time for a last pint ? :embarrass:

... a chap I know vaguely, cycling past the Prison.

I haven't seen him for a couple of years, probably.

I've known him for about twelve years.

Apart from the initial couple of meetings, he has been using a mobility scooter for the rest of the time, whenever I've met him.

Having watch Panorama on the BEEB tonight I've decided it might be a good idea to learn some Russian.
Especially Russian phrases that are the equivalent to:
"Make em an offer dey cannot refuse."
"Send em ta meet Jimmy Hoffa."
"If dey don't play ball ... clip the mothers."

and
"Give em a quick squoit wid a Chicago Piano."

A friend just sent us a WhatsApp to ask if we watched Panorama tonight, which we hadn’t, so he strongly recommended that we see it.

I’m just about to find it on catch up now.

You know what they say about women with big hands don't you?
I think it's actually a tractor beam from the eyes of the rather strong-looking woman at the table.

And, OK, it's her left hand, but, if she can do that, she can probably turn her head through 180 degrees.

Empty shelves in Asda, which would usually be stacked with toilet rolls
I blame that on the dragon of a till person who I had the misfortune to encounter last week. Bought a pack of loo rolls along with my shopping , and put the big box of Strongbows back on the shelf in favour of 3 smaller boxes which worked out better value in their 3 for £21 offer instead.
I got a nasty " I hope you aren't stock piling things!!!! :blah: Everyone is panicking and buying loads of everything :blah:. All the toilet rolls are going , I'm telling everyone they shouldn't be buying them or there will be none left ..."
I didn't even know loo rolls were going to be scarce again until she started her rant!
