UPVC facia replacement - recommendation required please..

I live in Weeping Cross and want to replace the ugly tiles on the front on my house with UPVC. Past experience with folk in this industry makes me very wary. Can anyone recommend anyone locally to do a fair job for a fair price without bartering and the 'phoning the boss' to authorise bogus discount pantomime routine?

Or if anyone would like to promote their company on here and contact me that would be great.

I've used John Pownall for roofing before and he's done a lot of work for others in Castletown. He does fascia as well. Reliable, friendly and very reasonably priced from what I know.

Just a quick update. John came up and measured up and awaiting quote. Based on him being a very nice chap and certainly knows his onions then fingers crossed for a good result.

Further update. To date not heard a thing back from this guy let alone received a quote. No reply to text or email. So looks like a dead thread on this one. Will give Bob a ring and see how we get on. Fingers crossed....

With John?? That's very unusual...he's usually bang-on with quotes/times etc. Sorry about that :(

Blimey Andreas don't take it personal chuck. Am sorry too that he hasn't come up with the goods. However no worries am sure I shall find someone who wants the work. John said he was very busy on jobs so posibly just doesn't want it but didn't want to be rude.

Well I am pleased that he has enough work to be able to let down new customers. What surprises me is that I have a straight forward job that will pay good money and no one wants it in Stafford after publically asking for people to contact me on the Forum!! See you up the Castle.......:britain:

Oops! If you still have not found anybody try Kevin Kelly on 01922 417508. Not a one-man-band, but a company established about 30 yrs ago. I first used him for new windows about 13 years ago, his Survey and quotation were both v professional and beat 3 other Stafford based companies. Job was started & finished on time and workmen were scrupulous about cleaning up as the job progressed, so much so that there was practically no inconvenience. I had his company do my fascias and gutters about 18 months ago and once again best price and excellent workmanship. Unbelievably about 4 months ago one of his workmen passing the house noticed something about one of the gutter or fascia fixings and they sent somebody around, unprompted, to set it right. Needless to say he gets a lot of work by personal recommendation. PM me if you have any questions. Cheers
