Where do you live? Our internet has been absolute gash for about a week now, we're up Holmcroft area.

EDIT: Although your username should tell me that....

Yep - you guessed it Wildwood ;)

Came and installed it - it all worked fine for 24 hours - then I noticed the blue Virgin Media button was flashing on the side - pulled the plug and plugged back in to reboot it. All came back on ok - all lights showing as they should - could connect wirelessly but wasn't getting any connection to the internet. Spent 20 mins on the phone to tech support - luckily in this country which I was surprised at as it was approaching 9pm. Anyway the outcome - a visit required. An engineer was out within a couple of days - they messed around in the green cab at the bottom of the street then fitted a new hub. Touch wood all seems ok now - however I noticed when it was installed it was consistently getting 26mbps down and 1.8 ish up - post new superhub I'm down to 21 down but up slightly to 1.9. :(

Does anyone know how to contact these Muppets? Had TiVo EDT fitted a few days ago, all fine for the first night- next morning the phone line won't dial out......'phone this number' the trouble shooting guide says - HOW? The line doesn't work! And there's no way I'm calling from my mobile!

We sent them an e-mail and they replied saying they can't help as they can't dial out from their offices!!!

I have just tweeted the VM Twitter team with a link to this thread asking if they can do anything.
If they reply I will let you know what they say.

Thank you :) Can't believe in this day and age they would give you an email address to email for help, and not be able to help as they don't have an outgoing line!
Their online help forum was also full of people who couldn't contact them :(
Off to the parents tomorrow, so if all else fails I'll phone from there.

When a comms company happily admit they can't use said comms themselves you know there is a problem!

Ah thanks bigbluewolf, we can hear the dial tone, but when we dial a number you can hear the number dial, then it goes straight back to the dial tone.....no problem receiving calls, the blooming things hardly stopped ringing :(

I do wonder if somehow they've put us on incoming calls only.... will call them from the olds tomorrow.
