Was there a crime at the club couture last night?

I live behind Couture and spend way too much time watching what happens there, during the day and night.

At about 10am a police car with dogs and a police van arrived. Someone got out of the van wearing forensic gloves with one of those metal suitcase type things, for the past 2 hours police have been in and out with dogs (they just took another one in) and more police have arrived (another car). The club still seems to be operating, they've been taking deliveries as usual and the staff were talking to one of the police officers.

Does anyone know what has happened there? I assume it was last night, although the club isn't normally open on a Monday so I'm not sure what it could have been. I checked the newsletter website and saw no mentions of anything, it seems very strange they'd be there for so long with dogs and forensics.

So the dogs and forensics were actually going into the club, rather than messing about outside? Which door was it? Unless it has changed a lot since I worked there, those doors are just the emergency exits. Often used to throw people down when they misbehave, and also often used as a 'quiet' place to have a shag because the alarms only used to trigger when the bottom doors were open.

I can hazard a guess at the crime commited, apart from the use of dogs. Not sure how much use they'd be in that sort of environment?

The back has 4 sets of doors (each set is a double door) and the the lift at the end. The door they're going through is the second set with the stairs, so they go through the door and up the stairs. They've been going in, not just outside. I was assuming drugs, but why would they have forensics people in there for drugs and for so long?

Staff regularly use the back doors for deliveries and entering the premises.

They've left now, about 10 minutes ago. The second officer from the police van came out carrying a bag with white stuff inside... could be forensic stuff though I guess. How strange, I hope I can find out what it was about.

If they brought dogs, then it could have been a drugs heist. Bob Martins are the new thing on the street, apparently..

Nothing unusual, they're regulars in the place. I believe Couture lets the police dog drug team train there.

Makes sense. Only this morning whilst all this was going on, I was in a meeting which also included the General Manager of Couture. He seemed a happy chappy throughout.

Mr P and A, we didn't leave a small giraffe at your place yesterday did we?
We seem to be one short, if not it must of escaped the buggy elsewhere.

oh? I didn't realise. I've been here 6 months now and see most of what happens there and have never seen them before. Makes sense that it would be training though, didn't seem enough police presence for it to be anything serious.

thx, mystery solved I guess :)
