Thanks for that. Not a bad game once they'd stopped kicking each other. I thought Real were the better team and might have won it in regular time if only they'd pushed on rather than sitting on their lead. As a Welshman, I'm glad that Bale survived. He had me worried for a moment.

They live streamed the UEFA cup final via YouTube as well - i may be a bit late in posting that information...
It was a game of two halves - Atlético were far and away the better of the second.
As an Englishman, i am too. I thought he had an exceptional game - he was but the first of many that started to cramp badly, hardly surprising. Cannot wait to see him play in France, even if it were to 'our' detriment. Could watch him play all day.

I've actually had an almost 'perfect storm' of shitty results today -
Rooting for Chaves in the Giro - Nibali sharks it.
Rooting for Wednesday on my brother's behalf - they lose out.
Rooting for Atlético - they gone and straight up lost.
Only upside is the cricket, but even there there is no real comfort - i have the softest of spots for Sri Lanka, and no one likes to see that kind of devastation. Invited to 'follow on' after a quick couple of early dismissals and all over by close of play, a second defeat by an entire innings - not so much a match as a massacre.
