Weekend forecast is very good.

I'm heading up North tomorrow for the football. I guarantee I'll leave behind some nice weather and enter the mother of all rain storms. Typical.

and it pissed it down this morning just as i got off the tram! it was proper bouncing torrential rain and as a result ive been sat at work in my joggers from my gym kit with my jeans drying on the back on my chair.

i feel like one of the special kids at infants school who had to borrow the communal 'spare clothes' :meh:

For any of you unlucky enough to be at work, it's HOT outside. I've got my feet in the paddling pool, cold iced drink in hand, lapping up the rays.

Haha quality post Jheych! Oldskool with the farenheit temp too!

I personally was hoping for a bit of rain this week! Purely for selfish reasons as i have just laid some grass and seed in the garden and i can't be bothered to keep watering it. It'll either be looking like wembley or marston road in a couple of weeks depending on how diligent i am! I'll keep you posted. :)

STAFFORD HURRICANE APPEAL

A major hurricane (Hurricane Shazza) and an earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale hit Stafford in the early hours of Friday with its epicentre in Highfields.

Victims were seen wandering around aimlessly, muttering "Faaackinell".

The hurricane decimated the area causing approximately £30 worth of damage. Severalp riceless collections of mementos from Majorca and the Costa del Sol were damaged beyond repair. Three areas of historic burnt out cars were disturbed. Many locals were woken well before their giros arrived.

Signal Radio reported that hundreds of residents were confused and bewildered and were still trying to come to terms with the fact that something interesting had happened in Stafford. One resident, Tracy Sharon Smith, a 15-year-old mother of 5 said, "It was such a shock, my little
Chardonnay-Mercedes came running into my bedroom crying. My youngest two, Tyler-Morgan and Victoria-Storm slept through it all. I was still shaking when I was skinning up and watching Trisha the next morning." Apparently looting, muggings and car crime were unaffected and carried on as normal.

The British Red Cross has so far managed to ship 4,000 crates of Sunny Delight to the area to help the stricken locals. Rescue workers are still searching through the rubble and have found large quantities of personal belongings, including benefit books, jewellery from Elizabeth Duke at Argos and Bone China from Poundstrecher.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

This appeal is to raise money for food and clothing parcels for those unfortunate enough to be caught up in this disaster. Clothing is most sought after - items most needed include: Fila or Burberry baseball caps Kappa tracksuit tops (his and hers), Shell suits (female), White sport
socks, Rockport boots and any other items usually sold in Primark. Food parcels may be harder to come by, but are needed all the same..

Required foodstuffs include: Microwave meals, Tins of baked beans, Icecream, Cans of Colt 45 or Special Brew.

22p buys a biro for filling in the compensation forms. £2 buys chips, crisps and blue fizzy drinks for a family of 9. £5 buys B&H and a lighter to calm the nerves of those affected.

***Breaking news***

Rescue workers found a girl in the rubble smothered in raspberry alco-pop.

"Where are you bleeding from?' they asked,
"Norfend" said the girl, "wossit gotta do wiv you?"

Please don't forward this to anyone living in Stafford - oh, sod it...they won't be able to read it anyway.

yeah, from watching the news i get the impression parts of the midlands were as bad as up here in yorkshire..

pictures of 4x4s almost completely submerged, whippet-owners spinning yarns about rescuing little boys from streams, etc.. in fairness, it started raining on thursday morning and didn't stop until today, so it was pretty bad..

One day summer. The sun is set to shine for just one day this year, July 15th, and the rest of the summer will be a wash out, forecasters said today, "its hard to find a day when it won't rain somewhere, the best day chance for a dry day is July 15th so plan your picnic for then".

So looking on the 'bright' side of life, looks like it's going to be helluva a day out at Stafford Castle !!
