What can I do with hundreds of books?

@Carole were you after books?

Yes we have church book sales from time to time but we don't have the storage for hundreds and hundreds of books so that's why I didn't respond to this.

It would have meant sorting through them and selecting what we think will sell and then taking the rest to charity. It didn't seem fair to do this when someone else may have wanted them all.

Thanks for thinking of me though!

I still have the books, I tried scanning them in but the online companies are very selective, I have two HUGE bags of fiction- mostly horror and thriller and then a mountain of cookbooks, health books, DIY etc.

Try the Cats Protection stall in the market, they seemed very low on good quality books. or the charity shop opposite Wickes which you can drive right up to.

Sainsburys in Stafford have a bookcase for donated books next to the customer services desk as you walk in.......

Try donating to the local library, if they're any good they will keep them and give the remaining books to charity.

Hello @Bob

I'm now in the process of organising another book sale to raise funds for our village church.

Do you still have any books left or did you get rid?

Apologies for not contacting you earlier xx

They've gone now sorry Carole, the cash for clothes place by the tip take them, we filled a pick up truck with boxes and bags of them and got £8, not really worth the time, effort or diesel but they're out of my dining room now which is good.
