Whatever happened to day trips?

Loved the mystery tours in the 70's from Stafford Station,

Reminds me of the time when my parents were on holiday in North Wales and they decided on a whim to book a mystery tour, a day trip on a coach.

They ended up near home at Trentham Gardens which was about a mile from where they lived.
