What's for dinner/tea?

About 1/8 of a Zizzis Calzone (the filling bit) and 4 tiny bits of honeycomb pieces on the chocolate desert which I didn't like. Hubby ended up having his Calzone, the most of my calzone and 2 deserts. What a disaster changing from my usual Lasagne to try something new  (hubby and son rave about the Calzones, but even hubby commented mine wasn't as nice as his.)

Lesson learnt...stick to what I know I enjoy next time.

Back home now and having a slice of toast & peanut butter as I'm still hungry. Much more enjoyable!

Sweet & sour cabbage* using gammon not bacon, roasted carrots & mashed potatoes.

Nearest recipe I can find, although I've used gammon not bacon or pork, and cornflour to thicken not flour.

Made the mistake this morning of asking the scruffy Jesus looking thing, that slobs in the back bedroom, what he wanted for tea. Back came the usual reply - Tuna Pasta Bake. Forward to 18.30, I asked if he wanted EoO, ''I was promised Tuna Pasta Bake'' says him.
So that's what we're having for tea.
It must be the only meal I ever do that doesn't contain reduced price stuff. Even yesterdays roast, majority of that was Mr Sainsburys yellow stickered. Only bits that weren't was the gravy and Yorkie puds.

Last nights tea was a local cheese and onion pie - only a little one as I'd scoffed a pizza in the local pub!

I'm actually quite surprised I'm alive today - I had my first pint at 10.30am watching the coronation!

I've never had a drink so early in my life!!

Tonight is picky cheese tapas!
