Went to the Wharf Tavern at Goldstone, with the younger sister, her son (Favourite nephew) and her other half.
I had Lasagna Verdi, side salad and french fries. No way they were chips, far too thin. Pint of Pepsi Max, followed eventually by a really nice pot of tea all to myself.
Surprised mesen, I turned down a pudding! Was stuffed to bostin.

Well I treated us to a corn fed chicken for our roast dinner tonight, but I can honestly say I couldn't taste any difference, despite the 3 x price tag.

Anyhoo... Roast chicken, stuffing, roast potatoes, roast carrots and sauteed cabbage & leeks, lots of bodged gravy. Scrummy though.

Found my inner Delia this evening.
Youngest loves the cheap and cheerful 85p Macaroni cheeses you get from Sainsburys. They've had none for a few days, he's eaten the hoard we had here and was having withdrawals. So he asked yesterday if I could make him some for tea tonight. So I did! Every bit was eaten and he even said thank you!
Due to my working pattern, I don't get many meal times with him, he does Friday to Monday night inclusive. I don't. So when we do have chance to have a meal together, I grab it.
I am currently on a countdown to retirement. 6yrs, 4 months and 25 days approximately. I can't wait.
