A chicken casserole should appear shortly. There was an preliminary issue with defrosting the bits of chicken, as I had a dormant security presence in the kitchen through the morning and I wanted to do things in the shed. An unsupervised (by me) chicken seemed a potentially bad idea. So, I let it start in the fridge for a few hours and then had it simmer for a good while at the start, to heat it through. It's worked OK before in similar circumstances.

Lemon dusted Factory Farmed fresh water fish from Vietnam & chips.

Just go to Sainsbury and buy Jumbo “Cod” fish fingers as these are vastly better (and safer ) than the Basa shite (IMO)

Hmmm the fish fingers aren't lemon dusted, not quite to my taste, I'll keep the Vietnamese fish farmers in business thank you.

Sausage & pepper casserole & mashed potatoes, I was going to do roasted carrots & tenderstem, but there would have been way too much for 2 of us.

Tonight Matthew, I have surpassed myself. Tootled on over to Sainsburys earlier, saw a lovely friend, and her workmate - that is tolerated. I dragged the Great Unwashed thing with me, therefore spending a tadge bit more than I would have. Don't care, not bothered, he pays more rent than was asked for.
Anyhows! I have wandered away from the subject, I got us a small chicken, some spuds and Yorkies. I already had Aunty Bessies Swede n Carrot mash in the freezer. All covered in lashings of Mr Sainsburys vegetarian gravy. All eaten and I even got a thank you for doing said meal. Luckily I was sat down at the time, or I might have done the floor an injury.

Yes, tolerated (in small doses) is the right word 🤣🤣🤣Today I did my usual shift, then an extra 4 hours on the shop floor doing very mischievous things & moving everything round to different isles. It was quite eventful....

Imagine how happy the customers will be tomorrow though!

For tea the carer has made us a veg & lentil curry, with his special spiced rice....yummy 😋

I only tolerate that 1 cos of her Mum, I've been known to see her down an aisle and shoot the other way in case she starts talking.
