When the lads that were initially clearing it let me have a look in, it seemed that the interior was largely derelict anyway.The insides will be ripped out, any sort of character that was in place will no doubt have been trashed

You really do have a bee in your bonnet with regards to their new windows and doors eh? Even if they don't look ideal I'm just pleased that after all these years the building is actually going to get used again - surely that is the most important thing. I wish them every success in their new venture. If it turns out to be a great place then I'll visit regardless of their choice of exterior glazing credibility - I hope others will also do the same.
