Where to advertise in Staffordshire

I'm assuming the 75000 is for traffic going in both directions, so only half the traffic gets to see your sign ( unless they look at it in reverse in their rvm)?

Hi Proactive

The 75,000 is based on west flowing road traffic only, pedestrian figures and nightclub visitor numbers. It does not include traffic traveling east which are unlikely to see the sign.

Regarding the other questions...

Adverts are displayed for 8 seconds except for our gold package which receive 12 seconds.

There are never more than 10 adverts on the sign to ensure adverts receive a great exposure. Depending on the the time of year we usually run at around 5-7 advertisers.

I can provide you with a detailed pdf pack which details exactly how many times your advert will be displayed per hour, day and week on each package if you provide me with your email details. Its a fairly long document to try retype on here.

Hope this helps

Regards

Craig

So if what you are saying is true (and I have no reason to doubt you) then that's about 150000 vehicles using that stretch of road each week!!!!! No wonder it's the complete mess that it is. Congrats to the BC who thought putting Tesco there a good idea.

No way the Western Access Road is going to sort that mess out as it's going in completely the wrong direction!!!

Its called FeelGood Stafford, its a new venture being run not for profit by a local. As such the website isn't fully set up at the moment, I can't find the tariffs page...
This is a page from their online sample version....

Newport Road, Stafford has a average traffic count of aprox between 15,800 and 14,700 per day (data from the highways agency)

The rest of the figure is made up from council footfall data and visitor numbers to the nightclub.

For your sort of market I'd have thought that the Penkridge Advertiser and Stafford Directory would be a good way to reach your target market. Same company, different distribution. Jen or Carole will see you right and even do the artwork for you if you don't already have your own.

The last time I phoned someone from the Stafford Directory it turned out the entry was years old and the business no longer existed, despite the directory being pushed through my letter box a few days before. It now goes straight into the recycling bin.

Edited to say.....Wasn't the Stafford Directory afterall , we've had that through today and realised it was the Thomson Directory that had out of date details in. ( Sorry Stafford Directory :embarrass: )

Is it bad that I think I've only looked at that sign around three times in all? Only go down that end if I'm driving, and haven't got the time to look up to see an advert.

Likewise glam, I think this is another issue I have. I suppose a business must put it to the test to see if it actually works, but anything that remains in one place I believe soon starts to be ignored. I've looked at it around 3 times - and each time has been when I'm stuck in traffic there. One day I will get around to putting it to the test for my business and of course will report back on success of my advert via the forum.

I never notice the big neon ad by couture either.....I couldnt tell you one advert from it...but then I am not very observant.

If i ever need to look for a local tradesman or whatnot, unless its someone that i have used before or had a recommendation then i always look in the parish magazine.
