what are these all about then? i've had my wii for a couple of years now, and i only just found out my friend code by accident while playing super smash bros. brawl the other day..

are they just a way of hooking up friends for online play? can you add as many people as you like? if so, shall we all add each other and have a big forum wii circle jerk?

See the WikiHow link above to connect to people generally - this allows you to exchange Mii's, share photos possibly and send messages to each other.

To connect in a game, not sure about SSB, but in SMK, select to play online and then it will ask you if you want to play against people "Worldwide", "on your continent" or "friends".

Selecting friends should allow you to add people to your friends (if you have their code to do it) but they also have to add you before you become connected.

After that, I have no idea as thats as far as I have got.....

Rikki, do you have your Wii online with SMK? If so, add me (code above, 12 digits) and then let me know your code.
