Woolpack, Weston

Had a wander out to Weston for tea last night. Found The Woolpack car park chocca, thought I'd pop in to see if any tables available before attempting to squeeze in anywhere.
Place was rammed out, presumably with people visiting the event on at the showground, but a very pleasant young lady in the 'eating area' said if you don't mind waiting a few minutes I'll see what I can do. Went and parked the car (Strumpet struggles with these things!) and by the time we'd gone back in she'd sorted a corner table out for us.
Although they were really busy and run off their feet the serving staff were all smiles and even found time to come and check all was well with our food etc.
Proper service from a pub that serves food sadly found lacking in many restaurants these days.

Had really good meal on Monday there, in fact most times I have been food has been good. Monday is grill night, 10oz steak etc for a fiver, get in, other offers exist throughout the week. Staff always nice and friendly, am not 100% sure on beer as I always seem to drive there but definitely a decent meal out at a decent price.

Woolpack at Weston great for Sunday Lunch!

S
Woolpack at weston thumbs down, had the worst ever christmas dinner at the place, Greyhound at Burston last year was rubbish. All those pubs are local to me and i doubt the locals would bother eating there .
The greyhound serves chips as a side dish with the sunday dinners due to complaints of the portions being small.
Only pubs around here for food that are any good is the Hollybush at Salt, The Shrewsbury arms at kingstone and the bull and specs of the blithbury rd.
