What sort of work experience are you hoping for? It makes for an easier two weeks if it's something you're interested in.

I take on students for work placements but the under 5's is not for everyone.

Have you got any idea of what direction you want to go in, careerwise? It looks like you know PCs pretty well, have you thought of IT?

Yes i have :keke: thats what i would want to do. But i do prefer to do more physical things also whever it reqiuers moving things, sorting things out whatever i dont mind doing that sort of stuff! Oh and me and my friend are working on something on the pc that we can make about £800 each maybe more maybe less :P and its not exactly something hard just takes time.

When I was 15ish I did 2 weeks Work Experience at Staffordshire University. Basically involved sitting in one of the many computer rooms doing what we wanted to. Was pretty good at the time, because the t'internet was relatively new!

innit.. i remember when there was excitement at school (walton) because they were installing the "new computer room" by the language rooms.. it was rumoured to be having bonafide RM Nimbus PCs, rather than the half a dozen BBC Micros we had put up with on the top floor thus far lol.. ah, the joys of MS Painting pictures of penixes in class lol..

now they've got loads of top notch gear in there, with the internet and all sorts! kids these days don't know they're born :teef:

to get the thread (sort of) back on topic - i did my work experience at transrail in crewe.. i did it with a girl from school who shall remain nameless, who i was a bit harsh to on account of me being an angst ridden teenager, which i still feel guilty about to this day :/

Know a couple of lads who were outdoorsy, active types, one approached The Forestry Commision and loved his fortnight, up the chase planting, chopping and even culling deer! Another contacted Staffordshire Wildlife Trust at Wolsey, don't know how he got on!
