Worst Pot Holes in Stafford.

I've noticed it less, just lately.

PS to all, the SWAR has never been a bypass. It's an access route to reach the West of the town.
A bypass is an access route. The terminology doesn’t really matter though. We all know it will be dug up soon enough or potholes will appear ‘naturally’.

Just got home from a round trip to the Chiropractor and pulled up with window down, yes the aroma is still rife, or even ripe!

Road-wise the craters are deepening in the stretch at bottom of Weston Road near the bus stop! A few further up too.
Driving habits are changing, as people are now taking evasive action to avoid hitting holes, and I'm sure that will cause extra collisions, in time,

,
Some of us can remember when the aroma round there was from Universal, if you were lucky, or Boon's, if you weren't.

Still, I suspect the current aroma provides employment of sorts..?

We moved to Doxey 41+ years ago, couldn't believe it when we first smelt the Universal, along with the layer of pink dust that would settle over everything too. We eventually got used to it, along with the trains that would runble past the bottom of the estate too.

Word from my sidekick is that they are currently fixing the potholes at the Wolverhampton Road exit on to Queensway Island. Disruption now, for the greater good later I assume.

They have fixed some but not all the potholes which seems to be the 'thing' they do now.

Probably some put a claim in for tyre damage and so they fill that hole in.

the whole roundabout is due to be resurfaced now they have allocated the funds.

The A34 Fillybrooks/Shell station roundabout in Stone is also a disgrace and shares joint worst position.
I see there's signs informing drivers about roadworks planned for this roundabout for 13 weeks from early June, warning us about long delays and to take alternative routes to Stafford. That's nice. Still, at least the road will be smooth afterwards.

That bit at bottom of Wolvo Rd, at the lights - So the bad long bit and bit along side it seemed to be fixed but there's noticeable holes before you reach that, which makes it seem even worse now you go from that onto level road, I can;t believe another couple of buckets couldn't have been used?

Not strictly in Stafford but this beauty on Clanford Road by the entrance to the gliding club at Ladfordfields is over a metre long. I dipped a ruler in this morning and it's 17 cm deep.

There are several more of similar depth between there and the Seighford turn.
Fixed last week. Oddly another deeper one nearby was fixed a couple of days later.
