I'm fed up with it all ready, the politicians sound like a bickering couple, blaming each other for things in the past, bringing up pointless minutia and saying they need to change but not saying how. Oh and when it comes to parties that they might go into coalition with, there's the jealous 'you want to sleep with them don't you, you have, you have already haven't you?'

Anyone who 'agrees with the UKIP agenda ' deserves to rot in their own bile
Maybe, maybe not, but when successive governments haven't made sure enough houses, infrastructure and public services were provided even to cope with the domestic growth in population and then preside in allowing net migration of 3 million over the past 20 years is it any wonder there has been a reaction.
20 years ago immigration was not an issue (other than for the BNP who were roundly rejected) as inwards migration between the end of WW2 and then had a neutral effect due to as many people leaving the UK as were coming in. This changed in the mid 90's but both Labour and the Tories failed to recognise the effect of a rising population would have on housing and public services.

The rising population meant those that owned land and property got richer, most politicians own land and property so gained from it.

I will vote for the party whose policies most closely reflect may main concerns which are the EU and Immigration, so I will vote for UKIP and no doubt ' rot in my own bile' to quote a very unpleasant John Marwood.

A number of their other policies are far too Thacherite for my liking and their immigration policy does not go far enough but it is a start.

I shall now sit back and wait for the 'bile'!

Enjoying a drop of red.
I predict nobody will do as well as they hope to do

People are predictable and so easily distracted

Stupid is another way of putting it

Short sighted, lacking in a general awareness of current affairs

Have little or no interest in world financial matters until it effects themselves

People are stupid

The people are stupid, conformist, predictable and defeatest and vain and can never react as one

Ever again
Amen
You are quite right. But what is the alternative? If all the parties we in England can vote for are scum, which they are, we are only left with the choice of voting or not voting. Neither action will affect the result one little bit.

The whole thing is just so depressing.

Worse so when you remember the only chance we had of breaking the stranglehold the main parties have was voted against, by ourselves!

Should you not listen to the policies and use that to make your decision. Or have you been seduced by the cult of the celebrity?

Between labour and the Tories both have plans to reduce the deficit.

One is cutting services and tax cuts. The other is tax rises for the rich and spend on services.

UKIP is simple politics blame the EU and migrants.

Lib dems we have no chance but we will support the winner.

Greens appealing policies for middle class professionals. Similar to lib dems 5 years ago.

I guess I've missed the single issue party whilst laudable protest vote probably more effective in local politics. Which I believe they are going to do. I wish them luck.

I do listen to the policies but find it difficult to vote for someone who comes across as an actor! At the end of the day I will vote for who I believe in as it is my right to choose, but I won't vote for someone who as a leader I have no faith in whatsoever !

A note of caution, however. In the borough elections it may seem like a good idea to vote for single issue NHS candidates, especially if you feel let down by everyone else. But when you look in to the people standing, you'll be surprised how many only decided to become independant when their previous political party failed to select them. You might think you're voting for the NHS but chances are high you're voting nutter.

This is not an endorsement of the Westminster parties.

Everyone on here seems to be moaning about how terrible all our politicians are but I don't see any of you rushing to put your name forward!

Are you handing out £500 notes by the way?

Votes in 2010 general election:
- 10.7m Tories
- 8.6m Labour
- 6.8m LibDems
- 15.9m NON VOTERS

I very rarely coment on poliical threads but I do wonder about this...

Some people vote on who they actually want to elect IN.

Others vote not on who they want to elect as they know that their favourite is in the minority.

So instead they vote for a party that they DONT actually LIKE OR WANT but they vote this party to keep another party out.

How would the voting be, if people had the courage to vote for who they believed in, instead of tactical voting?

How did you vote in the AV referendum?

It would be a bit more couragier - not exactly betterest but betterer.

That particular ship has sailed - 'we' voted to stick to the good ship instead.

Yeah, climb on board.
