How do I edit this?
It was the union block vote which chose Ed! His brother was voted in by the party members. The Labour party has missed out having a winnable candidate.

Actually Ed would have won on one-member-one-vote. It is the heavy bias towards the parliamentary party that nearly gave it to David.

I will vote for the party whose policies most closely reflect may main concerns which are the EU and Immigration, so I will vote for UKIP and no doubt ' rot in my own bile' to quote a very unpleasant John Marwood.

A number of their other policies are far too Thacherite for my liking and their immigration policy does not go far enough but it is a start.

I shall now sit back and wait for the 'bile'!
So you will be happier to be poorer. You will be happier to see mass unemployment. Then who will Farage blame. When people are asked to give examples of how Europe affects them directly or how immigration has impacted on them they cannot.

Please tell us how immigrants have affected you directly?

I very rarely coment on poliical threads but I do wonder about this...

Some people vote on who they actually want to elect IN.

Others vote not on who they want to elect as they know that their favourite is in the minority.

So instead they vote for a party that they DONT actually LIKE OR WANT but they vote this party to keep another party out.

How would the voting be, if people had the courage to vote for who they believed in, instead of tactical voting?

Ever stood in a queue and listened to the conversations around you?

Scary, very scary, the people, the masses, are not wise, do not have a capacity to think five steps ahead and assess with every permutation from each step , they are reactive and distracted and generally have only some , often misguided, ' information' on single issues from which to base their decisions on multiple issues

That's democracy for you.

However far above the rest of us you feel you are Mr Marwood, your vote still counts the same as for us dim plebs :)

Maybe a Stalinist approach to democracy would be better, or even a Nazi one. Oh, hang on, we already have Salmond and Farage so there's hope for you...

Salmond stood down as 1st.Minister in November 2014

But will more than likely get elected to the Westminster parliament at the election where he will become, officially or otherwise, head of the SNP MPs. For some reason it seems a lot of people are concerned about him having a say in UK government. Maybe it's because he makes no pretence about being a lying, scheming weasel who wants Scotland to have everything and sod the rest of the UK.

Personally I don't see how he could do any worse a job than Clegg did and as the country is going to go down the toilet anyway, whoever wins, it makes little difference to me.

its gonna be a tough one to call this time. I think i will be sticking with mr cameron after that televised debate. Milliband did himself no favours with his scripted speeches down the lens. My overwhelming urge whenever he came on screen was to punch him in the face. He really is an unlikeable chap. Farage seems to be the only candidate who doesnt give a flying feck about being a stage managed media whore and tells it exactly as he sees it. Refreshing in todays politics. sadly we will never evolve as a nation or free ourselves from corporate enslavement whilst everbody (myself included) keeps voting for the false 2 party system. The whole thing is engineered and manipulated so that the eventual outcome is you vote red or blue who are esentially the same people Serving the same interests. (And its not you or me)

Nationally the percentages are not the vital bit though. Where the votes are compared to electoral boundaries is the important bit (hence gerrymandering scandals in the past).

Not too worried about who wins in Stafford, just what coalition we land up with.

All the best

Two election leaflets through the door so far - both Labour.

No election leaflets here, just a flier I thought was election related but turned out to be the new bin collection schedule.
