This is very true.
But you did use the word 'Italian" and neither Ask or Ego are Italian restaraunts ( but only in my opinion)
So I used the word "authentic" to differentiate between those restaurants that sell "Italian type food" to those are are truly Italian.

Ha ha ... I used to visit quite a lot until all the roadworks and shop closures started to happen.
Hopefully the new Riverside development will change all that.

we did, I had some cracking nights there, but I'd be happy with a LaTasca if we're going all out with chains.

That was originally Presto supermarket.
Cheese and cold meats counter used to be right where the bar is / was at The Litten Tree. The smell never went away.
You not tried vivere on foregate Street?? That is a great little restaurant
