You can get a few window cleaning robots now. No idea if they are any good. I've got 2 robot vacuums and find them very handy, particularly when the cat starts moulting.
I keep meaning to swap the ride on mower for a pair of robotic Husqvarna mowers but my 5 year old has too much fun racing around the garden on it.
Maybe you could contact a manufacturer and state how you have a triple height room which would be a good test for their robot and ask if they be willing to let you have a model if you were to review it for them.

I'm not sure of the building I'd use, maybe somewhere near the Gainsborough Art works to keep like minded people close by, but I'd create a massive second hand book and vinyl record shop, complete with sofa's to sit on and a tea room selling lovely home made cake and completely veggie snacks.
