Hi - Any dates yet for the opening of the new Stafford store?I asked them at 7:40 pm tonight - no response yet.
Which coincidently will also be the year that Morrison's finally opens a store in Stafford?Hi - Any dates yet for the opening of the new Stafford store?
Hi there! Not just yet but can;t imagine it being much longer - Jay
That arrived around 2300-ish.
Waitrose would add a bit of class to the town. Morrison's would not.
Class, much like quality, comes in varying measures
Utter bollocks !!.....
Yes, me, today....Morning,
A reliable source on another forum stated last night that Waitrose have confirmed they shall be taking over the Morrisons building . Anyone else heard this?
Yes, me, today....
I was talking to the Deputy Store manager at a Morrisons today, he said that they had been told before Christmas that the Stafford Morrisons has been sold to Waitrose, but that they still haven't had an official announcement.
With regards to people saying that it wound be the biggest Waitrose in the UK..... they can still split the store into 2 or 3 smaller units....
I know that I'm not alone when I say this, but not all of us have Waitrose money!Which other forum is this?? Having a Morrison's adds nothing to the town Having a Waitrose adds choice, variety and quality - everything that Stafford folk would appreciate. It would also act as an excellent meeting point for the folk of Stafford to meet and greet each other as they grasp their free Waitrose Coffee as they exchange conversation with each other. This is something we have already established in the 'Odd Things in Stafford' thread that is sadly lacking in this town, apart from on this forum.

I agree. But Morrison's is too similar to Asda and Tesco.
That part wasn't my post, I was quoting @Moby Dick 's original post...& the Deputy Manager I spoke to wasn't from the Stone Morrisons....I got further than that on my travels yesterday.....Which other forum is this?? Having a Morrison's adds nothing to the town Having a Waitrose adds choice...
Isn't M&S having a good sized food Hall? That'd be competition for a waitrose, and you can get deliveries from ocado in Stafford anyway which proper classy people do rather than sully themselves amongst the plebs.
Non-patricians...?Who do you consider to be a pleb?
I'm sure he'll be along in a bit.I am interested in what @tek-monkey view is....
I went camping several times with Andrew Mitchell - it's while ago now, so he may have forgotten.*Plebgate*
