Also twixt Stone and Eccleshall. But not so much whilst the roadworks have been ongoing.

Perhaps she likes to walk ?
Is there anything particularly interesting about her other than a person who walks a lot ?
Is walking such a rare thing nowadays ?

Nothing more interesting than she walks into Stafford regularly (several times a week) from a distance and along roads that most people would catch a bus or drive, that makes her unusual so much so that when she walked past our house the other day the kids leapt out of their seats to watch her walk by!

There can't be much for kids to do where you live, I'd imagine.

more people should be like her imho!

I agree, on my days off I get through around 15 miles a day just pottering/jogging around Stafford's greener areas ... I'd hate to think there were people trying to find out details about me when I'm just enjoying a nice wander :P

We use to see a middle aged bloke walk along the A449 from junction 13 into Stafford. Little scruffy but clean with long hair and always appeared to have a smile on his face. My OH nicknamed him John the Baptist as he always seemed so untroubled. Sadly not seen him for a few years.

Pretty sure it's one of my friends - he changed work places around 2 years ago (he got fed up of walking out to the argos call center every day, if memory serves).
Still doing well, :P

She lives in Eccleshall. When ever you offer her a lift to her destination, she always politely declines, says she enjoys the walk. Nice lady.

Not the lady that I'm thinking of then. I thought it may be the one I've seen walk towards Cannock along the grass verges of the A34.

I had a horrible thought from the title of the thread that it was me :D But not me walking along Eccleshall way. I'm the one stomping backwards and forwards from Wildwood to town .

I walk miles daily, both to keep fit and because hubby takes the car to work. It's quicker walking to town and back for appointments and the odd bit of shopping etc, than having the car , which means dropping him off and picking him back up later.

I can also be seen doing the Astonfields to Wildwood route . Quite often drive straight up to Jct14 from Worcester , drop the car off at hubbys works and walk home. Saves getting stuck in traffic getting home from J13 , and then about an hour stuck in traffic to pick him back up later in the day.

I call her the trudging woman as she is often seriously weighed down with shopping. She broke her hip a few years ago I think but she still trudges on and good for her.
