We are holding a Public Meeting this Thursday 6:45 at Leasowes school. SCC / SBC Councillors and our MP will be in attendance so any concerns / issues can be raised with them there. If your unable to attend and wish to raise any issues you can email us at baswichcommunity@gmail.com

It was decided that a four week closure simply wouldn't achieve the level of inconvenience and frustration desired, so naturally, SCC stepped up to the plate to increase them to more accepted Stafford norms.

For those unable to attend tonight's Public Meeting, the topics that were covered at the meeting included: an update from Staffordshire Police and updates from our Borough and County Councillors on local issues including litter, dog fouling, traffic, parking outside schools, roadworks and update on the empty shops at Bodmin Avenue. Arriva listened to people's concerns about the bus services locally and have taken away resident's views. An update was given on the Riverway Link project and our MP provided an update on issue relating to local health and education. If anyone who couldn't attend the meeting has any local issues and concerns they wish to raise, please do let us know.

Cadent are carrying out essential gas maintenance in the road to replace old iron gas mains with more durable plastic pipes. This is to ensure we continue to provide safe and reliable gas supplies to local businesses and residents.

Didn’t they just do “essential maintenance” on that piece of road recently?

We have been informed that the Traffic Lights have been switched on but the Road will open mid November when the developers have finished surfacing the road.

Appears the pull in at Radford BMW is now completed, barriers were being removed this morning.

Excellent. I'm driving in from Baswich to pick up Little Miss Mikinton from the station at 10:45, and for once it sounds like I might be spoilt for choice.

It doesn't look wide enough to accommodate a car transporter to me.

I wonder who is paying for this work? Surely it should be BMW/MINI.
