I just drove up Radford Bank and saw a sign saying the roadworks start on the 9th and will last FOUR weeks.

Yeah, noticed that myself, Highways confirm 9-11th 9:30am to 3pm. They're checking the signage, they will let me know if any different.

Just had it confirmed that work will start on the 9th Oct for the construction of a lay-by outside the garage. Further details to follow.

Believe it's for the long awaited off-loading area, the information board needed moving which I guess is the 9-11th roadworks. Still waiting to get confirmation from SCC Highways.

Radford Bank Roadworks update:


There will be traffic signals in place for the dates mentioned 9-11th October, this is for the disconnection and removal of a street column.


There will also be further works which may include temporary signals. An application has been applied for signals however Highways are looking at alternative traffic management arrangements.

BCG believe it's for the construction of a lay-by outside the garage. Waiting for Highway to confirm roadwork details.
