I have finally fitted a couple of carpet clips in my car, to stop me having to reposition the driver's footwell mat about once a week.

The set of four mats are the genuine factory items (from the boot sale seven years ago!), and have the sockets already fitted in the driver's mat, but they came (to me) with no clips to secure them to the fitted carpet below.

I bought a pair off eBay, as in the picture above - they cost £1:06, including postage, all the way from China. Crazy! But they work very nicely.

I have two spare sockets now - if anybody wants them.

If you di end up going to minor injuries might I suggest that going to Cannock MIU would be a worthwhile investment in time compared to queuing up at Stafford A&E.
Thanks for the heads up.... It seems that Stafford only has an A&E & I dont fancy spending the day there tomorrow.

That'll teach me to update my Glasses prescription & not just my contact lenses prescription.....

A pharmacist can normally give you some eye antibiotic over the counter, might save you a trip.
I phoned the Drs but they wont look at it (hahaha) & say I have to go to A&E ! I dont think its worthy of A&E, so phoned the Optician & tomorrow I'll be killing 2 birds with one stone, an eye exam & an up-to-date glasses prescription ....

Had yet another call on my landline from another different takeaway , that had been given my number but seemed to be having problems delivering. Seems this person using my number is having a little game with all the food establishments (and a host of other companies) around Stafford giving them false addresses that don't exist !

Will be glad when our skip has finally gone ! Each morning I turn up to find it's been firked through and rubbish strewn everywhere. In addition today the blue wheelie bin which has been searched through each night time has gained a hole  Emptied that into the skip and put it away in the garage to have one less problem to deal with!

Can't believe the cheek of some people going through it in broad daylight while I'm there....white van pulled up this afternoon just as I opened the front door to clean it. Van driver looked shocked to see me appear, waved and drove off :o Then heard a clattering outside, went straight out to see a bloke from up the road walking off and stuff I'd just put in carefully, so as not to blow off , had been moved :grr:

Spent a whole day cleaning (after only meaning to do an hour ...) and glad to say the cleaning is more or less done . Just one annoying cobweb above the stairs to get a big stick to tomorrow. Being a short-arse I couldn't reach

Still not got anything special to wear for sons graduation ceremony next week :hmm: Should have stuck to the diet , plenty of nice outfits in my wardrobe that I need more than a week to get down into ....:ohno:

Today was our annual Halloween event at work. I spent most of the day with zombie face paint on, then my niece and nephew came to the funfair we had. Driving home was a bit odd after spending the previous hour on the dodgems.

Summary of my week so far:
Monday - OH unwell, super grumpy. My day at friends cancelled to keep the peace.
Tuesday- Eldest Spawn's b'day and a yarn emergency as I run out mid project. Turns out that type of yarn cannot be gotten for love nor money. Alter project. End up eating out and watching the new Thor,:love::D
Wednesday- Call for help from my Mum, she'd fallen the night before and my Dad was having a bad day. Could I go help with a new tv table. Turns out it involved unwiring and rewiring their complicated speaker system too. While I was there my Dad had a fall and took some manoeuvring to get up again. Also get stressed grump call from OH who is having a disagreement with Spawn2 (age 14) 6hrs later I'm heading home, never get to lidl to buy food.
Thursday - Eldest and Honorary Spawn pick me up. We go to their place so I can use the dryer as mine is broken. His family turn up and mild chaos reigns for an hour, my they are loud lol. Finally we head to Lidl to buy food. 3 aisles in Eldest Spawn drops like a rock. When she comes round she isn't good so we end up calling an ambulance. Shopping abandoned as we go for a ride in it to A&E. She has pain so we are all scared. Few tests/hours later she is cleared but sent around to Maternity Triage. After about an hour they send HS off home for her green notes. While he's gone I got to keep her company and they got the Doppler out. Tears of relief all around as the little heartbeat was loud and clear going like a train along with lots of vigorous moving noises. Send us all off after 6 hours with a reassuring, we don't know why you collapsed but you are ok now lol. Have to stop at late night garage for a loaf and a pint of milk to try to feed OH.
Friday - 7am message from ES to tell me her sofa had just arrived and only after she'd wibbled did the delivery guys take it up to the flat for her. I'm on skype with her to keep her company. OH is rather grumpy...

I'm a bit tired....
