When he's speaking to me, he speaks 'proper english' as he knows I'm going to keep saying " What's that mean?" "Does that mean good or bad ?" etc

Like 'sick' ......I used to ring up work when dying (Apparently they don't say that now......) after a good night out saying I was off 'sick'....wonder what they say now?Dunno if the following term is still in the ‘yoof’ lexicon but if it’s of any help: ‘bad’ means ‘good’.
We had 1 bloke ring in and say he was too tired to come to work, the nurse in charge asked him to repeat what he had just said, thus giving him time to change it, and he goes ''I'm too tired to come in, I'm just going to go back to bed''.Like 'sick' ......I used to ring up work when dying (Apparently they don't say that now......) after a good night out saying I was off 'sick'....wonder what they say now?
He's been on stage with famous rappers , doing sets on the decks. But think it's also mixing with uni students and the youngsters he's in charge of at work and goes out with.Is it like a gangsta rap type slang?
Or just general teen slang?
I’ve honestly never heard it except for on tv, no young people I know speak like that.
Although as you mention, it’s entirely possible that they revert to the Queens English when in the proximity of a grown up.
