So an entryist, an entryist, and an entryist, so far.

HQ of everywhere has given up on us already.

Shurely an entryist BP candidate cannot be far behind?

Notwithstanding the general good feeling there is here in this space, you have to accept that we've lost this place.

@andy w wins

Let it be known he wins absolute sh*t

So this is not a great place to be a Remainer.

Do we genuinely believe that a Brexit Party candidate could split the arsehole vote enough to let Joyce - is this the right name - through the middle?

We are genuinely swimming, almost engulfed and only just treading water, in Democracy here, aren't we?

Heaven help us all.

Can we congregate into some sort of cuddle puddle at least some way into the hate fest that is otherwise upon us?

This is pretty much way up there in the 'things we do not need' stakes.

"Nuke the site from orbit."
I think Corporal Hicks has the authority here. I nominate him for John Bercow's job. (Ripley for PM, it was her idea.) :heyhey:

I would like a dislike button.
Had to press the like button cos I couldn't find the dislike button so figured that would be ok, like :)
Long term inmates will remember when we had the Cuffy and Skill buttons.

Points were awarded to members, rather than individual posts, and you could only apply the button once a day to each individual - Skill added a point and Cuffy removed one.

Why did the system change?

Perhaps it could be reinstated with the proviso that if someone reached a certain amount of “cuffys” then they couldn’t post for a week.

So if enough people got tired of a certain person’s posts, they got a week off from having to listen to it.

It was many years ago - during one of the Forum's upgrades to a different format.

It had fallen into disrepute anyway, as some people began to regard Cuffies as a badge of honour.

Also, there was evidence of the odd sustained campaign against individuals, even one whop posted fairly rarely and in an inoffensive manner.

As is the way with reputation systems.

I’ve seen a better implementation where you give awards to a post instead, for things like “helpful”, “techy help”, “funny”, etc. Which you can do with the Reactions system in 2.1

We’re on a 4 year old version going by the copyright in the footer though, so I don’t think Admin is too big on upgrading as it does have a habit of breaking everything.

On a more topical note, good to see Tories are still Tories: cut everything to shit and then top it up when a GE comes around to look good.

If it works, people deserve it.
