'Ghost' signs - then and now.

I always thought that snooker club picture looked as if John Travolta had been cast in a Jimmy White biopic: Saturday White Fever - The People's Champion.

Cuffy/Skill - Stafford customer service thread - Stafford retailers reports.

It's a lovely motor. Didn't he have something else unusual and interesting before that?

    ADVICE ON CAR TYRES

I've had good experiences with County, Mr and Stafford tyres. Stafford Tyres have the comfiest waiting room if that matters to you at all. :)

That's what that noise is! I thought we were under attach from a Mechanoid army :)

    Tesco Carpark

Moats a plenty in Staffordia. The Radford Bank and Knights BMW have very impressive moats too.

North End / Sandon Rd Developments

The road up there is already chocca. There's got to be something in the pipeline unless the residents are all going to work from home.

black & white dog on M6 Stafford

I went past around 8.10 and there was nothing to be seen apart from some Highways Agency people. Hopefully all sorted.

Post House to reopen as The Apothecary.

Arf! Good luck pronouncing that when you've been out all day. You couldn't make it up.

Three things you would miss about Stafford.

From an outsider but resident for 16 years: 1. Isobel Trail / Marshes / Victoria Park / Rowley Park. Gives the place a "real town and country" vibe. There's no shortage of stuff to do outdoors either. 2. Stafford Balti. The carrying of quality beers from the Coach and Horses across the road...

Stafford Cinema - ups & downs.

The "Top of Everest" scene in Dr Strange was made even more realistic by the climate inside the cinema. Maybe the environmental conditions could be marketed as a "feature" - 5D even?

Get us on the circuit like TheRobin in Bilston or Holmfirth Picturedrome. Great idea.

Just for fun: With Bates Gun shop now sold, what would the forum like to see on the Market Square?

I'd like "Son of Guitar and Son IV" - although having Eric in such close proximity to Joxters might result in some late openings/long lunches/early closures etc.

    The Floodgate.

I wonder if Eric has ventured in yet? Looks strange with no guitars in there - might have to get an early haircut,

    Rehearsal space

Yep - Simon confirmed this with me last week. I think he's had a noise abatement order which limits when he can have bands in. It will be much missed by us.

    Rehearsal space

Hello All, Apologies for resurrecting this old chestnut of a thread. With Staffordshire Music Centre closing shortly does anyone have any tips on venues for rehearsal in Stafford? The "free praccy in return for free gigs" deal sounds attractive - is there anyone still doing this? We're ok with...

    Getley Kitchens noise pollution.

Getting silly all this. I thought they'd start to get in line with the lawful working hours. It appears they'll be wringing as much as they can from the remaining grace period. Utter caddery of the highest order.

    Getley Kitchens noise pollution.

Thanks! Yes I did. I emailed the enviro-health person last night. I thought my boiler was on it's last legs... then I went outside and noticed the noise was louder. We routinely have the windows open in the "Summer" - I shudder to think what that'll be like... if it gets that far.

    Getley Kitchens noise pollution.

This issue has drawn me in from being a forum lurker. Similar to Gramaisc I thought any number of my household appliances were on the blink. It's not too bad to start with but then it's relentless... pulsing through the pillows when you're trying to get some kip. I'm a reasonable bloke but I too...
