Hi, I hope this is OK for my first post but thought posting here might help get the word out!
On Wednesday 23rd October between the hours of 8.45am and 3pm my caravan was stolen from the driveway of my house on The Weston Road(near to the County Showground), Stafford.
Despite being secured the caravan was removed, we assume by thieves who planned the theft and arrived with suitable equipment and tools needed to circumvent the locks.
The experience has understandably left our family somewhat perturbed and upset.
Following the theft, we provided a statement to the Police who duly issued a crime number. We also reported the theft to CRiS, the national register for UK touring caravan owners and our insurer.
Whilst it has been reported that caravan theft has reduced, it remains a common occurrence and costs insurers millions of pounds in claims each year. Last year alone it is suggested that 1,200 caravans were stolen in the UK.
The return of the caravan is secondary to me. What is most important is the individual(s) responsible for this theft are brought to account. This is why I am offering a bounty of £5,000 in cash to the person who provides information leading to the successful arrest and prosecution of the person(s) concerned.
The caravan is a 2011 model Bailey Pegasus 2 Ancona. The serial number of the caravan is CRiS/VIN: SGBSV02BYBPS03410. The serial number is marked on the windows of the caravan and on the chassis itself.
Here is a link that shows the same model of caravan concerned:-

If you see the caravan or have information regarding it you can contact Staffordshire Police on 101 (crime number FZ/59334/2013).
Please pass this post on to as many people as you can.
Best regards
Mark
