2 Wool Rugs- Free to a good home

Morning all,

I have two wool rugs which the wife has decided we don't need anymore. She wants me to take them to the tip. I have several issues with this:

1. They are in bloody good nick as far as I can see.
2. I have a tiny car
3. Land fill? Not on my watch!
4. They cost a small fortune

Both are from Dunelm and were bloomin expensive a couple of years back. One is brown and one cream. The Cream one is larger but both are big enough to fill a small room (I'll measure if I get any interested potential takers).

I'm in Castletown and they are pick up only (see issue 2 above). No obligation if you want to have a look before you take away.

Are you interested then, Gramaisc? You could lay them over your existing "stuff" and Hey Presto! new carpet area, more room for "stuff". Almost like tidying up without the hassle. Where was that good ideas thread?

If you could PM me where in castle town (i live there too) I would like to have a look at these. Cheers.

Hey! Don't sweep it under the carpet, just lay a new carpet on top - yeah.

Haven't you got housework to do, boxes to tick?

Hi Scoot Doggy Dogg, welcome to The Forum!

It's usually frowned upon to sign up just to post an advert, but seeing as you've done it in such a jovial style (very in keeping with the other members round here) we'll let it slide. I'm sure you'll end up posting more in the very near future anyway ;)

tek-monkey

wanna see my snake?
To be fair, at least he's not selling them!

Anyway, welcome to the forum Dogg. And bugger off MyCult, I was here first! ;)

Isn't this how you're meant to 'tidy' up? Is this where i have been going wrong all this time?

If you have been doing it that way then you have not been going wrong. You have avoided turning into an anal, over-fastidious, obsessive-compulsive weirdo - or 'tidy person', as they apparently prefer to term themselves.

And where is Munch? This is like leaving a dead zebra on a hilltop in the Serengeti.

I don't know, she's been a bit evasive recently. I am probably seeing her tonight, I hope so anyway, so will ask her why she's been so quiet.

I thought the serengeti was flat?

Sorry for advertising- I saw advert for "free horse muck" and thought free home accessories would be okay. I promise I am after nothing for these. Call it karma... although a pint and some skill points wouldn't go a miss the next time I bump into the new owner!

The Brown one is 120cm x 180 cm. The Cream one, which I am now reliably informed is actually "Ivory", is 150cm x 240cm. If you live in a two up/ two down in Castletown then they both pretty much fill the downstairs rooms furniture permitting.

Apologies again- no offence intended

You could just swap it for a load of horse-muck, but I suppose 'she' would not like the colour? Don't let them hassle you - get stuck in!

No need to apologise at all, tek-monkey was right, I was jumping the gun a little! I didn't even notice that you were offering these for free; that's very good of you :)

Welcome to The Forum, enjoy poking around :D

Nice manoeuvre! Let tek and Cult get involved in an internicine struggle and then just 'pull the rug out from under them'.

Hello Snoop,

Me and Tek have spoken and I'd like that rug if it's still going.

PM me your address / phone. I will pick it up as I also live on castle town. In fact i think we live round the corner from each other (so Tek said) But as I haven't seen snoop doggy dog in the railway recently I can only assume this isn't your real name. Let me know if its still going mate.

Cheers!
