tonight? can't help you.

If you can then go to the butcher on sandon road near the chip shop tomorrow. First class butcher, was my favourite supply of meat when i lived on PJC.

Bobby's going to selectively edit and quote that now, just you watch.

Yeah, John Anslow slips a very good sausage.
I'll second that. Both firm and meaty.

He's on Sandon Road, opposite the Princess Royal, if you don't already know.

He's also the only person in Stafford I've ever got a real haggis from. None of ya plastic coated walls nonsense, or whoever the hell makes it. Beena few years though, must go get some more now I live nearby.

Five past six? Have you had a sleepless night panicking about achieving the target she has set you? Calm down, he'll sort you out.

five past six is a little early agreed however the forthcoming feast shouldn't pose too many problems apart from one guest is veggie and i need an alternative for one individual without resorting to linda Mcartney.Yes it was fretful night i couldn't settle i think it was due to my experience in a stone pub last night. coarse language dunna bother me too much i just question why some folk continue to eff and eff in front of complete strangers..who were sitting at least 15ft away and were heard quite clearly it just seemed that it was tolerated and accepted.if this appears to be a grumpy old man rant then so be it...On reflection it wasn't the choice of the foul languge that bothered me so much as their complete disrespect for others...

Keep your distance from Florence, then. Two banning orders for language issues.

What always intrigues me is the fact that fact that the loudness and the banality of their pronouncements do tend to occur in direct proportion to each other. The louder it is, the stupider it is - there's a modern proverb for you.

P.S. Quiz young Anslow about the veggie side as well, he deals in various items of that nature.

not yet there's time enough, though giver their diet they could be deemed suitable for veggies.....

John Anslow's is definitely the badger's nadgers*. I've only managed to go there twice when it's open, but my my, I was very impressed and could have spent a small fortune. They're very knowledgable about what they sell, as they should be, and on the wall to the left as you walk in there are loads of recipes (Kangaroo rump in tomato & olive sauce, Venison Ghoulash etc), so you can go in, discuss where the meat's from, take advice on the best cut for the dish you're planning AND walk away with a shed load of really nice sounding recipes!

edit: * I don't think he sells these...

Absolutely! Only one up the food chain is good enough for me! Wouldn't eat cat, or dog...
