Damn straight, we don't want peoples poxy 4th round votes in our 1 vote supremecy system!

It is odd though, you'd think any party that doesn't benefit from FPTP would want a fairer system.

Have a look at http://www.bnp.org.uk/news/turn-out-may-5-and-bury-av for their reasoning, it makes interesting reading.

Interesting to see that both here and a national forum I use has Yes in the lead, but all the polls say it will be a whitewash against
I think it fair to say that this ere forum is not necessarily representative of the wider Staffordian electorate.

Compare this with this.

I always thought the other forum was rather conservative, but they have Yes on 56% and No on 40%

On this evidence, perhaps AV really would be just 'too complicated'?..
If you go to the polling booth not knowing who your candidates are you should not vote. I know democracy is meant to be all fair and what have you but do people like this really deserve the vote? Clearly they don't give a monkey's about the outcome, so why should they have a say in it.

Voted at the Rangers this morning - one person leaving as I entered and another arriving as I left.
About 10ish?.......
No. Based on the time on the subsequently obtained bank slip, I would say that it was about 11:20.

I believe that most people actually vote for the party, rather than the person. My point here was rather that the people involved in the system may be a bit slap-dash - witness what happened in the General Election last year when people were prevented from voting in fairly significant numbers...

Given that candidates no longer have the guts to go knocking door to door and election posters have been banned, it's a wonder that anyone knows who is actually standing.

As Gramaisc says, most people vote for party rather than person.
