Not strictly Stafford, but Amerton Farm and Gentleshaw Wildlife at Fletchers in Eccleshall have animal rescue charities. (went to Gentleshaw a few weeks ago-well worth it, if that's your thing - & good to support!).

In the interests of disambiguation -

are you looking for a small charity, scale -wise, that is animal orientated in Stafford?

or

are you looking for a charity for animals that are small, scale-wise, located in Stafford?

I cannot help you with either, but i have decided that using a comma before a subordinate clause beginning with the word 'but' is actually more helpful, and i have also decided the same is true for the word 'and'. So i have decided to adopt this grammatical usage henceforth.

What i will not adopt is any more animals, regardless of how small the animal or the charity might be. This is because cat(s).

Good luck with the animal helpage, whatever the sizeage, and one hopes this has not been too much of a diversion.

Unless, I trust, the subordinate clause beginning with 'and' contains the final element of a list.

I was going to ask the same question, and remembered a similar comment about someone my farther knew who introduced himself as 'a small business man'

Despite being English, having lived in England all my life and having been educated to Masters level I genuinely fear for my grasp of English grammar. I have no clue where the punctuation should go in the OP's question to infer either of the 2 meanings that @Withnail was referring too. Sad times :(

Nobody cares, Kyoto, nobody cares.

Lynne Truss is very funny and informative on the matter:

Once, I waited until it was dark to make a secret visit to a shop outside which there was a board which had been upsetting me. I removed an apostrophe.

Guerilla grammarians, yes.
