I got it for 99p last week.re : The Works
I've got my eye on 'Dial M for Murdoch' but reckon they'll need to knock a few more pounds off it first, especially as I'm currently reading the copy in the Library.

I saw this news on Facebook too, although the staff didn't seem to know anything about the closure.Heard today that The Fashion Factory is closing in a few weeks, not sure how reliable the source is though - we shall see.
That's perhaps why they've gone.
Gareth, the landlord at the top end of town is increasing rents? I don't disbelieve you, however it would seem to be a stupid thing to do given the Riverside development. Surely landlords at the north of the town should be doing all they can to make sure they current operators stay where they are and don't get attracted to the new development.
As I understand it, M&S and River Island are both relocating to the new Riverside Development and I suspect others may follow (i.e. EE). That doesn't leave much reason to venture north of Market Square. I sincerely hope a new flagship store i.e. Debenhams does come to Stafford and relocates to the Guidhall or one of the vacant units at the northern end of the high street.
Commercial landlords in all areas need to get real. But as the properties are valued on multiples of rental values that may take some time to achieve. Plus as most properties are owned by pension funds a drop in values of properties is going to hit pension returns. However, it does look to me like the last five years of recession have meant nothing to landlords. Surely a lower or static amount of rent (a rent increase freeze) is better than no rent at all?
Plus a fresh look at the rating system is well overdue and is placed on the 'too difficult' pile by politicians.
Found out today G T Auto Electrical closed on the 30th June.
Went to buy some bulbs for my car and found they are gone. And all the place that sell bulbs that I can think of are 2 or 3 times more expensive.
Becketts jewellers opposite royal bank of scotland has a to let sign.
Mark, the increase in rent premises is located to the south side of town, but I cannot share anymore as tenant is hoping to sort out.
Anyone know if you need planning on to let signs some are huge and in my view should be used in town centres as they are an eye sore.
can see the old co op being dormant for years.
Just to lift all of your spirits, a little birdy tells me that yet another charity shop (Donna Louise Trust (part of Katherine House Hospice)) will open in town in September....
Yes. Katherine House Retail, Katherine House Hospice & DLT Trading, probably others too.I was unaware that KHH and Donna Louise Trust were part of the same organisation. Are you sure?
