Cannock Chase from 35,000 feet

It really looks small compared to its surrounds

Has it shrunk in the rain ?

Also from that height, you do notice Stafford and Stone are not far off merging

Which will undoubtedly piss off the residents of Stone

Ha

As someone who has just had to move from Stone to Stafford - serve them bloody right :crossarms:

I took this one in February 2014 .. when my pylon was flooded. I thought it might not be there much longer will all the building plans … but it seems to be hanging in there ...

I took this pix on the same day as above, you may remember the floods of 2014. This is taken from the gateway near that tree and shows my pylon underwater. Given that I think the MRI would be off to the right of this pix, can't help but think that if they're going to build houses there … this might give them food for thought about the odd damp patch that might appear … (three foot f****** deep damp patch.) :fap:

The Street View above will give you the Tree location, on Tixall Road, just before the Crem and on the other side.

If you're at the same height as the tree I should think you're pretty safe. I'm thinking of those fields down where the pylon is which are known for flooding, certainly a few times in my lifetime. The only time I'd worry is if your next door neighbour is called Noah and starts building a big wooden ship in his back garden. :hmm:
