Another forum would be masterbakerforum.co.uk or fatoldblokesforum.com, you mean thread.
Never said i knew him, click the/your link and read the/my post.

Curious Mikie, why did you use ETA?
ETA = Edited to add. (And I use ETAA to mean Edited to Add Again.) It sometimes helps to provide an "audit trail".

I posted the first line from memory. I then went and looked for your post and returned to my 9:31 post to add the link (at 9:35), though I didn't correct my first line as I thought the added link would suffice to clarify things.

As you rightly point out, my memory wasn't 100%.

I just thought it strange you should answer my post of "Whatever happened to Henryscat?" back in January and then post the very same thing yourself.

My post was purely an add-on to what Trumpet and Glam had posted (a few hours previous), nothing more.
Looks to me you got confused and read into something there was nothing to read in to, which is fair enough.

Me asking where henryscat was was me being fatuous, sorry to see that you got the wrong end of the dog dirt stick.

This thread is nearly as good as the vegan thread...

Ha, almost.

On July 1st Michael Gove appointed Sir William Worsley, chair of the National Forest Company, as Tree Champion with a brief to 'drive forward planting of trees and prevent the unnecesarry felling of street trees,' and to 'plant 11 million trees plus a further one million trees in our towns and cities' over the next 25 years. This was in the face of rising criticism about street tree felling.

So now you know who to contact, but not how to contact him.

This was partly in response to a Sunday Times survey which showed that local councils had felled over 110,000 trees in 3 years. Worst was Newcastle with 8,414 trees felled in the 3 year period, then Edinburgh 4,435 followed by Sheffield 3,529 (10% of its total trees). Is Amey responisble for road maintanence in all of these areas?

Some councils seem keen to keep the number of trees up.

Most of them seemed to be looking pretty happy as of last May: https://goo.gl/maps/VrhmkjJ7MrL2
Going to have to dig some old photos out now, out of curiosity , to see if there were any trees there when I was a kid (panning around shows our old house , looks a bit posher now though.. )

Wondering if the trees at Baswich Grange (the old Baswich House site) are going to survive for much longer. Lots of activity going on today, the bushes around the site were starting to be sawed down and metal barriers being delivered.

I daren't stand taking any other photos, with a workman only feet away the other side of the wall shouting to his mates "WTF Someone's taking photos of us!"

I know there's a bird of prey that lives in a tree near that spot . Hoping it doesn't suddenly find itself homeless :hmm:

From what I saw throughout today, just seemed to be a case of go and hack away any old how so that we can get these metal barriers up...

What seemed strange as well was the fact they hadn't opened up the gates to get into the grounds since they arrived these last couple of days, but parked many vehicles on the pavement/ road outside, carrying everything through the gaps in the hedges .( Maybe just my imagination running wild, but something didnt quite stack up as being a professional and legit operation somehow :strange: )
