If i remeber correctly, gaviscon forms a 'raft' in your stomach on top of the contents and so keeps it all in. As such you wont build up a tolerence. But think i would agree with shoes, dont use as a long term solution. In answer to your question I don't really suffer with indigestion so don't have any exeprience of relief i'm afraid.
