Any decent riding stables near Gnosall

Have just moved to Gnosall from Guildford, Surrey and can't for the life of us find a riding stable to have lessons...nearest one being near Telford!! anyone know of one tucked away in these leafy lanes at all?

That's good. I was about to suggest earlier that it was a minority interest on here, as a quick search only brought up the horse-muck threads of this time last year..

There is a riding centre on the A34 between Brocton and the Pottal Pool roundabout that does lessons and takes riders onto the Chase.

Don't know of any near you, sorry - not really my thing - but i do see horses up around the castle on occasion, though usually just a couple of riders so presumably not riding school folk.

Well there's Ingestre, but I'm not sure I would recommend it. Pretty expensive as well. The Stafford area has a dearth of good riding stables I'm afraid

Not sure what the score is with availability but there are some stables on the Woodseaves Road, close to the turning for Ranton - 5 to 10 minutes from Gnosall

There used to be 1 at Lilleshall I used to go there but it's going back a few years it may still be there and is probably closer to Gnosall than Cannock chase and Ingestry. There was 1 at Bradley but I'm pretty sure thats shut now.

I belive (but may be wrong) the the woodeaves/knightly stables is just a livery yard, of which there are millions round here. I know some people who were looking at setting 1 up in stafford but the insurance put it dead in the water before they even got started.
