The Stafford Sunday Quiz league is starting its winter season soon.

There is a meeting in the Bird in Hand on the 2nd of Sept at 8pm if anyone is interested in entering a pub team.

If you want more details, just ask me.

No- why don't you add it? Just register and add it. So far I've only added places I've been too at some point.

There was a cracking quiz at Joxers last night. I think it is on every Sunday at 7pm. There is a tantalising twist, whereby the cash pot grows every week and the number of points needed to scoop it reduces by one point every week it does not get won. Last night 59 points out of 60 were needed. Of course, nobody won it, so next week it will be 58 points. In around a year's time I will be sorted, but I expect it will have been won by then...

I understand that Joxer's have a Sunday quiz night frequented by Wormella of this parish, hosted by Juice Comedy Rob. Never been myself, though; I don't go into town on school nights.
That said, the King's Arms is only a stone's throw away from where I am (I know, cos I've measured...) so The Current And Final Mrs Wookie and I might have a wander over later.
No promises, though...

Yep, I do host a quiz at Joxer Brady's every Sunday night at half-past seven.

Although the quiz itself is quite hard, we don't take ourselves too seriously and I try to make it fun for everyone. We do a raffle and have silly prizes in a luck-dip box.

Teams of no more than 5 players, it costs £1 per person to play. The winning team gets 5 free drinks.

We also operate a Beat The Quiz - in week one to Beat The Quiz you'll need to correctly answer 60 out of 60 questions. In week two 59 out of 60, in week three it's 58 and so on, and so forth. The team that manages to Beat The Quiz wins the cash jackpot of all the accumulated entry fees and raffle fees.

Every week the prize money increases, and every week it gets easier to Beat The Quiz. By the time it becomes possible to Beat The Quiz, the jackpot is quite high. Two teams have Beat The Quiz in the past, the first time they won £185 and the second time the prize money was around £175.
