Lights on today and people working in there. Looked ok.gilbert grape said:http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/home/pubs/the-butlers-bell
Standard menu now on-line and taking the same theme nights as Picture House. When I had a look in the other night it looked like the bar had been pushed back slightly giving more space. Didnt take any more attention to detail though. Another brown & cream/white pub appears - standard colours for all pubs it would appear.
Stand corrected on that bit - just a point that most re-decorated pubs are going that way.gilbert grape said:Another brown & cream/white pub appears - standard colours for all pubs it would appear.

It's opening as a wetherspoons.gk141054 said:Just to clarify, is this opening as a Wetherspoons, Lloyds or something else?
It's just a matter of perspective - and sentence structure.gilbert grape said:Wetherspoons is the chain and Lloyds No1 is one of their types of pub. The Butlers Bell, a Lloyds Bar run by Wetherspoons is opening on the 17th. The Picture House, run by Wetherspoons, will shut for a refurb and then reopen when ready.
Don't know what's hard to understand on this one really?
However looking at their website it is going to be one of their "traditional" pubs, not one of their Lloyd's Bars.gilbert grape said:Don't know what's hard to understand on this one really?

The link I posted further up the thread shows the same sort of menu that is served in the Picture House.
Yes, does look to be the case now. I had originally heard that it was going to be the Lloyds No.1 format which is a shame as Stafford could do with a little more variety in the Sky Sports department...!wizzard said:However looking at their website it is going to be one of their "traditional" pubs, not one of their Lloyd's Bars.
They were going to turn Chicago Rock into a Lloyds Bar but for what ever reasons those plans fell through.52.8N-2.1W said:Yes, does look to be the case now.
