I suppose the advantage of having 2 wetherspoons is if the picture house gets flooded again. They won't lose shed loads of money through lost trade :D

Standard menu now on-line and taking the same theme nights as Picture House. When I had a look in the other night it looked like the bar had been pushed back slightly giving more space. Didnt take any more attention to detail though. Another brown & cream/white pub appears - standard colours for all pubs it would appear.

Stand corrected on that bit - just a point that most re-decorated pubs are going that way.

Don't know what's hard to understand on this one really?
Wetherspoons is the chain and Lloyds No1 is one of their types of pub. The Butlers Bell, a Lloyds Bar run by Wetherspoons is opening on the 17th. The Picture House, run by Wetherspoons, will shut for a refurb and then reopen when ready.
The link I posted further up the thread shows the same sort of menu that is served in the Picture House.

It's just a matter of perspective - and sentence structure.

When I went past the ex-Apres on Friday, the little knot of blokes smoking at the front door made it look like it was already open.

However looking at their website it is going to be one of their "traditional" pubs, not one of their Lloyd's Bars.

Yes, does look to be the case now. I had originally heard that it was going to be the Lloyds No.1 format which is a shame as Stafford could do with a little more variety in the Sky Sports department...!

They were going to turn Chicago Rock into a Lloyds Bar but for what ever reasons those plans fell through.
