I can't find anything on the one yesterday, but flights from Biggin Hill over Brands Hatch have occurred in the past.We saw a spitfire doing a few aerobatic manoeuvres yesterday over Brands Hatch and wondered where it had taken off from.
It couldn't be seen on any flight trackers for some reason.
I assumed it would be from Biggin Hill but would be interested if anyone can confirm this.
If they were single engine props then probably doing circuit & bumps out of Othertonthe two aircraft circling round the Shoal Hill area
Thanks, but they looked bigger than what I would have thought of as light aircraft. If they were single engine props then probably doing circuit & bumps out of Otherton
This popped up on Facebook earlier today, in an unusually appropriate manner, considering the general nonsense that I get.I may have posted this before, but "Victor" doesn't bring it up in a search.
I got this photograph as an approximately A3-sized print, mounted in a glass-bottomed tea-tray - from the boot sale a few years ago.

Presumably taken by the occupant of another Lightning.
That reminds me of motorists between the M1 and A453 near Kegworth being very lucky nearly 34 years ago.We were travelling down the M11 to visit Mrs Noah's mother in Saffron Walden, Just pulling off at Junction 10 when on the other side of the junction someone decided to overshoot the runway at Duxford, down the embankment, across the northbound carriageway, do nasty things to his undercarriage on the central reservation barriers and park his aircraft on its belly on the southbound carriageway. We were clear of it but there was much frantic breaking on the motorway, amazingly no one hit anything. Must have been around 20 years ago.
