What sort of musical direction were you thinking of Aka?
Well, thank goodness someone came along to take Aka's request seriously! ;)

How do I edit this?
I'm already in a band (or maybe two) but there's always the chance if we gel musically. Good places to find musicians are Jamnight every thursday at Joxer Brady's, The monday night acoustic night at Granville's in Stone, the weds open mic in the Grapes (I've not been to that one myself) and the currently homeless Sunday Jam that's been running at the Star and Garter - (I think it's at the Bear and Pheasant now but it seems to have changed everytime I talk to anyone about it).

Eric at Guitar & Son (myspace.com/guitarandson) is a good man to talk to. He trys to introduce like-minded musicians and is busy finding and promoting gigs (at no profit - what a decent chap!) so he will be able to help you there too.

We met the drummer of my current band through the website formingbands.co.uk, and I imagine there's other similar services around as well.

Hope some of this helps. If you dodecide to come to Jamnight at Joxers say hello, I'm Pete and am usually running it or else I'm there playing on nights when my good friend (& lead guitarist) Rich is in charge.

edited for spelling and sense
