The situation in the local surgery is ridiculous at the moment! When hubby rang for his blood test results he was told the doctor wanted to see him about them. But they couldn't/ wouldn't give him an appointment for another 3 weeks. He tried ringing again the next day to see if they could get him in earlier , but was told by the receptionist "it's only a routine thing, nothing urgent so you can wait". So hubby went on for 3 weeks longer eating things that the doctor wanted to warn him not to as it was seriously affecting his health

Its not just the Dr surgeries - been told to expect up to a 7 week wait for X-ray results.

Went for an X-ray after I was knocked off the motorbike not so long ago. Got there at 9am and was out with the pic tucked under my arm to take to the docs by 9.10. That was Cannock, mind.

Are the white areas going to be the front garden/drive?

If so, are the green areas going to be the back garden? It's not easy to see how much land each house has.

Although on first glance it does look like there are some green spaces which is good.

However, I'm concerned about doctors facilities.... my friend on Wildwood says that it's really hard to get a
appointment with the doctor at the moment.

How are the new houses going to impact on an already over stretched area?

Why can't get planners think ahead and build new health centre, shop, school etc?
Developers will pay money to the Local Authority through a Section 106 Agreement to mitigate the impact a development. It is then down the the Local Authority to use this cash to upgrade/provide roads, schools, healthcare facilities & other public amenities to cope with the extra people etc. that the development will bring to the area. Would be interesting to see how much Section 106 cash the Council actually spend on this compared to what they receive!.

Traffic is not just a slight issue. 127 extra houses will bring 200 to 250 extra cars to an already congested area. These 127 houses along with 155 (250-300 extra cars) just past Wildwood can only cause more issues around the double islands and surrounding roads. Having said that, nothing anyone says will stop these two housing estates being built (in my opinion of course).

The medical issue is a huge one. It seems that Weeping Cross Surgery already took on most of Wildwood residents after the Doctor passed away a while ago. The surgery is overflowing with patients but it's not helped by the Government policy on the NHS.

Totally agree with that.

Ha ha. What a wonderfully free-flowing arrangement that was.

Bring back the Weeping Cross and Lichfield Rd/Silkmore Lane lights...
I used those for a few years when I lived in Silkmore Crescent. Wasn't too bad for me as I rode a motorbike then.

The Silkmore ones weren't too bad, but when the Meadows and Queens Retail Park were added, it all got a bit complicated.

The lights at the top of Radford Bank were just terrible.
