I've been enjoying the Marstons Single Hop Citra (currently at Joxers) I'm a fan of light, refreshing beers on the whole, and girly Mexican style beers

I see Joules are selling 36 pint 'beer in a box' type thingies at £50.00 for a 36 pinter of Pale or Blonde and £52.50 for Slumbering Monk. Other sizes, barrels etc also available.

No mention of it on their website - where have you seen this?

Might consider investing in one for Xmas - Blonde is currently my favouritest beer.

Anyone been in The Picture House recently? Had an ale in there last night, think it was brewed in Burton although could be wrong... seem to recall it had a reindeer on the pump label.... can't for the life of me remember what it was called....

Anyone help?

Thought it worth mentioning that for some reason the price of Gold Miner
8502904503_7b11499fba_m.jpg

is just £1 for a 500ml bottle in the co-op. I'm pretty sure it used to be closer to £2, yet this doesn't appear to be some sort of 'offer' type affair. Whether this is just the co-op on Wildwood or is a general thing i haven't had chance to investigate.

Might not be the very best beer in the world, but is pleasant enough at £1 a bottle.

I seem to recall being told Slaters Brewery are having an open day tomorrow ...

:pint::bravo:

So it seems - http://www.slatersales.co.uk/ - midday until 4pm.

Slater's Ales said:
Following on from the success of last year's open day, we're once again opening the brewery for the day. We'll have all six of next year's permanent ales on tap - Bitter, Original, Top Totty, Premium, Supreme, and Haka, as well as our Christmas beer Blitzen. There'll be brewery tours throughout the afternoon and an opportunity to stock up on Slater's Ales and merchandise.

Just a heads up to those that brew their own - Wilkos' have reduced much of their home brew stock. Their own kits are now £8 instead of £12. Woodford Wherry is down from £19 to £15 and lots of the equipment for making your own drop is reduced too.

I am drinking at the table of men again - a 600ml bottle of Nigerian Guinness - 10% more alcohol than the Government's recommended daily amount for a male - I'll try to make it last past midnight for the last bit...
